NSSSEC Warns Students, Parents Against Examination Malpractice

The National Senior Secondary School Education Commission (NSSSEC)says it will arrested and prosecute anyone caught aiding and abetting examination malpractice in accordance with the provisions of the law.

In a statement in Ilorin by the Pioneer Chairman of the Commission, Ambassador Nimota Nihinlola- Akanbi, expressed worry over the alleged rising cases of malpractice during the conduct of external examinations at secondary school level with active connivance of some parents.

The ex-diplomat noted that the ugly trend has lingered too long amidst the effort of the federal government through the Ministry of Education to nip it in the bud.

She warned that the commission will not fold its arms and allow unscrupulous elements have their ways in their desperate bid to destroy the future of children and educational system in the country.

Ambassador Akanbi said it was saddening that some parents and others cohort were unperturbed about the bleak future in the event that the unwholesome activities persist unabated.

She urged stakeholders to help in stemming the tide of examination fraud in the interest of the future of the country.
