BSG Lauds NYSC Health Initiatives On Rural Dwellers

Bauchi state government has lauded the numerous developmental contributions of the National Youth Service Corps deployed to the state particular health services delivery in rural areas.

The state Governor Bala Muhammad gave the commendation at the passing out parade of the 2021 Batch A stream II held at the Ibrahim Babangida Square Bauchi.

Baka Muhammad Represented by the Chief of staff Government House Dr. Aminu Gamawa said the contributions of Corps Members through Medical Reach Out in rural dwellers has complemented government effort towards providing health service service care at the grassroot level year in year out.

He said ailments likely Malaria, Typhoid, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, among others are being tackled at the grassroots level their by preventing patients from travelling long distance to urban areas for medical attention.

The Governor thanked the Director General NYSC Major General Ibrahim Shuaibu for insuring the success of the scheme in the state.

The state Coordinator NYSC Namadi Abubakar who urged the Corps Members to use the one year experienced gained during the service year to promote love, peace and tranquility of the country advised them to shun acts capable of destroying the nation.

Namadi Abubakar called on governments at all levels to assist the Corps Members to gain access to various empowerment loans with a view to starting businesses learnt through skill acquisition programmes to become self reliant and employers of labour.

The State Coordinator commended the National Assembly for the quick passage of the NYSC Trust Fund bill and pray for it’s quick Presidential accent.

Parents, guardians heads of security agencies, key government official, NYSC official among others graced the occasion.
