Fire Destroys Property Worth Over N51m In Kano

Kano state fire service has succeeded in quenching a fire outbreak, involving four residential houses at sharada jaen, Anguwar lalle in Gwale local government area of the state.

The public relations officer of the agency,Saminu Yusif Abdullahi made the disclosure while briefing radio Nigeria’s correspondent in kano.

According to him,sharada fire station received a distress call at 1:13 pm from one Malam Balarabe.

The public relations officer maintained that, the fire fighters immediately swang into action and on arrival at the scene, and discovered that four houses were on fire

Saminu Yusif explained that, 3 jet commando from Sharada fire station,commando 1 from central fire station and commando 13 from Audu Bako fire station were used to put out the inferno.

“Four adjourning ground floor building of about 40*50 ft each”

While attributing the success of the operation to the combined efforts of fire fighters from the three stations,he charged the general public to maintain safety.

He pointed out that the Kano state fire service had commenced investigation to unravel the mystery behind the unfortunate incident as most people attributed the fire to electric fault.

“We successful saved some items from the houses and stopped the fire from spreading to neighbouring houses”

Saminu Yusif noted that no life was lost during the accident and commended residents and fire fighters for the prompt action.

He decried over rising cases of fire outbreak as the state had recorded 166 fire calls in March 2022.

The public relations officer said over 51 million naira worth of properties was destroyed by fire during the month under review.
