Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has urged Muslims in the state and the world over to use the period of Ramadan fast to get closer to their creator through fasting, alms-giving, and seeking forgiveness.

In a statement in Ilorin, Governor AbdulRazq said the fasting month is always a lifetime chance for the Muslims to take advantage of God’s abundant mercies to forgive sins and answer prayers .

The statement said it is in the month of Ramadan the Holy Qur’an was revealed and the Night of Majesty is witnessed once again.

The statement congratulated the leader of the faith in Kwara State and Emir of Ilorin Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari and the entire Muslim community in the state and beyond.

The statement appealed to the Muslims to seize this opportunity to pray for peace and prosperity in the state, and the country in general.

The statement also urged the wealthy individuals to assist the poor in exchange for Allah’s rewards.
