Kaduna State Government has condemned the terrorist attack on the Kaduna-Abuja train that occurred on the night of Monday.

In a statement by the Special Adviser to the state governor on Media and Communication, Mr Muyiwa Adekeye says Governor Nasiru El-Rufai and his Deputy Dr. Hadiza Balarabe have visited the injured victims in hospitals.

Governor Elrufai prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the deceased persons and wished the injured speedy recovery.

He also expressed its sympathy and solidarity with all the passengers, and extends its condolence to the families of the passengers that died in the attack.

While the evacuation of passengers from the scene of the attack have been completed, efforts are still being made to account for all the passengers, crew and security officers that were on the train.

The Governor appealed to all citizens to uphold law and order, and promote peace and harmony in the communities.

Malam Nasiru Elrufai maintained that, the state government would continue to liaise with Federal Government and security agencies to protect people and defeat the terrorists and other criminals.

He added that, It is imperative to stand together against those who threaten civilised order.
