APC Nat’l Chairmanship Aspirants Visit NASS To Lobby Ahead Of Convention

All Progressives Congress (APC) national chairman aspirants, have continued to visit the National Assembly to lobby the lawmakers on thier ambition against the party’s convention coming up Saturday.

Among the aspirants that visited members of the house of Representatives are the former governors of Nasarwa State Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu and Alh Tanko Almakura as well as the former governor of Zamfara state Alh Abdulaziz Yari.

Other aspirants are the APC caucus on a lobby mission includes Alh Musa Muhammadand 313 and Alh Saliu Mustapha.

Addressing the Caucus, Alh Saliu Mustapha, explained that transition time was very critical and tricky as such, the party must put its acts together and devise more strategies to win all elections in 2023.

The aspirants told the members that it was time for the party to have unity of purpose that would guarantee its victory by electing a leadership that will entrench discipline and ensure equity, fairness and justice.

He promised to develop a constant consultation mechanism that would allow members to interact, share ideas and fixed intervals to provide opportunities for them to drive the party forward.

Mustapha recalled that, some members lost their seats or failed to get tickets after going against the party which brought in new faces.

On his part, Leader of the house Alhassan Ado Doguwa who received the APC Chairmanship aspirant on behalf the house caucus described, Mustapha a seasoned democrat who played a great role in the formation of the APC.

Similarly, in an address, former governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari informed the Caucus that, he will use the experience garnered while in the National Assembly and governor to re-position and transform the party.

Abdulaziz Yari, who was a one time chairman of Nigerian Governors Forum and held various positions in the defunct All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) said, he knows the intricacies of running a party and qualified for the job.

In a welcome address the House Leader, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, equally described Yari as one of their own who deserve the lawmaker’s support to enable him to succeed.
