Kano state fire service has confirmed the death of a 32 year old man, Rabiu Musa due to a collapsed building under construction.

Narrating the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the agency, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi explained that, the office received a distress call from Nigerian communications commission (NCC) at 1:39 pm.

He pointed out that, on arrival, the rescue team discovered that, a three storey building under construction had collapsed and trapped two men at Ahmadu Bello way, opposite state library Nasarawa local government area Kano.

The Public Relations Officer maintained that the team succeeded in retrieving two men, 52 year old man, Danjuma Tijjani and Rabi’u Musa.

He said the two men were conveyed to Muhammad Abdullahi Wase specialist hospital, where doctors confirmed the death of Rabi’u who was evacuated from the building unconscious.

Saminu Yusif Abdullahi said, investigation is ongoing to unravel the mystery behind the unfortunate incident.

He charged the general public to maintain safety at all times and urged them to report road accidents, fire outbreak, collapsed buildings, drowning among others to the nearest fire service office.

“Victim handed over to corporal Zilkifilu Sulaiman of Nasarawa police division”,he said.

Recall that few days ago five young men lost their lives in Bichi local government area, after part of a trench puddle collapsed and trapped them to death, while excavating sand, to assist their friend in building a house for his upcoming wedding.
