Farmers in the country have been urged to embrace the federal government agricultural programme to enable them do better in their business.

The Chairman of the National Groundnut Producers , Processors and marketers Association of Nigeria ,Mr Paul Zhir Tsowa made the call while speaking exclusively with Radio Nigeria Correspondent in Ilorin.

He said the training put in place by the federal government to educate farmers on the use of modern techniques of farming has assisted them greatly .

According to him before now most farmers have no knowledge on how to use simple machine to add value to their farm produce.

Mr Paul expressed confidence that majority of farmers will adopt the use of technology to preserve their farm produce and reduce wastages .


He appealed to the federal government to support the farmers with loan to enable them procure modern machine to expand their business.
