Scores Injured As Hoodlums Go On Rampage In Kwara

Youths suspected to be hoodlums have gone on rampage in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.

The bloody street brawl said to be between suspected hoodlums of Adeta and Isale-Jagun area of the metropolis started on Sunday night and continued till today (Tuesday).

Radio Nigeria gathered that the rampaging hoodlums freely used dangerous weapons , broken bottles and machetes.

During the bloody confrontation vehicles were smashed while those who sustained varying degrees of injuries are currently recuperating at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital,(UITH) in the metropolis.

Confirming the incident, spokesman of Kwara state Police Command ,Okasanmi Ajayi said three suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.

He urged members of the public to go about their lawful businesses as police men have been stationed at the affected areas to prevent further breach of peace.
