Jigawa State Verifies Over 5000 Pensioners – Official

Jigawa state government says it has so far verified over five thousand pensioners at the ongoing verification exercise in the state.

The Executive Secretary of the State, local education and local government contributory pension scheme, Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa disclosed this in an interview with Radio Nigeria shortly after inspecting the exercise in Birniwa local government area of the state.

According to him, the board had verified five thousand and forty five state, local government and local education pensioners in ten local government areas.

Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa said, the verified pensioners were from Birnin Kudu, Buji, Gwaram and Miga local government areas.

He said others also include Jahun, Kafin Hausa, Guri, Kirikasamma while Birniwa Hadejia local government area is in progress.

Some of the verified pensioners who spoke to Radio Nigeria commended the state government for the smooth conduct of the exercise.
