The Federal Government has set December deadline for the completion of Suleja-Minna dual carriageway .

This was against the January 2024 target earlier targeted to complete of the project.

The Director Highways Construction and Rehabilitation in the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, Mr Folorunsho Essan gave the assurance during an inspection tour of ongoing work on Section one and two of the dualisation project as well as the ongoing reconstruction of Lambata-Lapai- Bida Road.

Addressing newsmen after the inspection exercise , Mr Essan explained that the Suleija-Minna dualisation work is one of the NNPC financed projects.

On the Lambata- Bida project, Mr Essan said while the May deadline may not be feasible, the project would also be completed before the end of this year.

The Controller Works, Niger State, Mr Moshood Samotu who appreciated the quality of work on both projects, said the construction work on the Lambata -Lapai- Bida Road is over forty percent

The project managers of the construction companies handling the projects, Mr Gennaro D’itria and Mr Chen Xian said with the recent arrangements, they have overcome previous funding challenge that had hindered the progress of work.

They gave an assurance that they will not deviate in delivering the project in accordance with specifications
