NSCDC Records Over 1000 Criminal, Civil Cases In Katsina

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Katsina State Command has recorded 1,161 criminal and civil cases in 2021.

The State Commandant Mohammed Sanusi Bello stated this while briefing newsmen on the 2021 scorecard of the corps in Katsina.

He said the command treated 256 criminal cases related to banditry, kidnapping, theft, drug abuse, rape, vandalization and other unnatural offences.

Sanusi Bello pointed out that the Command during the year under review received and treated a total of 905 civil cases of different nature ranging from indebtedness, misunderstanding, land related matters, farmers/herdsmen conflict, domestic disputes among others.

The State Commandant who explained that the corps had made a giant stride in  the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure from attacks by criminal elements, said its operatives will strive to ensure lives and property of the citizenry were secured.

He urged the public to assist the Corps and other security agencies by providing credible and timely information to effectively contain security challenges in the state.
