Federal Executive Council, FEC, has approved the award of about one billion Naira contract for the procurement of 49 operational vehicles for conveying inmates.

The Minister of Interior, Alhaji Rauf Aregbesola, stated this while briefing newsmen on his ministry ‘s presentation at FEC.

He explained that the vehicles would complement the existing 213 procured between 2016 and 2020.

FEC also approved the award of 136 million Naira contract for the procurement of operational vehicles for the National Agency for the Control of Aids, NACA.

Briefing newsmen on the development, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, said another approval had been given for the purchase of office building for the Federal Character Commission.

He explained that the 145 million Naira worth of building, was situated in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
