AFCSC Trains Officers On Improved Counter Terrorism Operations

Armed Forces Command and Staff College Jaji has conducted Exercise Ubiak Isin for Junior Course Ninety-two.

The exercise, which is an annual event is aimed at evaluating officers’ understanding on counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations.

Addressing newsmen at the end of the exercise, Chief of Defence Simulation, Major General Godwin Umelo explained that the exercise was in tandem with current security situation, as well as acquaint participants with the realities at the theatre of operation.

He maintained that it was also meant to afford participants with the opportunity to practice what they learnt.

Also speaking, Commandant of the College, Air Vice Marshal Ebenezer Olayinka Alade expressed satisfaction with the performance of participants especially in the application of new tactics in warfare.

He expressed optimism that the officers would add value to the on-going fight against insurgency and terrorism.

Highlight of the event was the display of evacuation of casualties at the war front by NEMA, distribution of grains and a medical outreach programme organised by the College for residents of Bina, Tudun Amada and Wazata in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
