President Muhammadu Buhari has adopted the decision of the Progressive Governors’ Forum for the party to conduct its convention in February, next year.

The Chairman of the party’s Caretaker Committee and Governor of Yobe State, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni, stated this to newsmen in Abuja after he led some governors under the party into a meeting with the President.

He said four states controlled by the party were yet to conduct congresses, but that the wider consultations made prompted the stance to conduct the convention in February to give room for them to observe them.

Alhaji Mai Mala Buni said they would expect fully-attended, peaceful, and most successful convention.
