A Director on Gender Policy from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Professor Eugenia Chika Akpa has urged Kaduna State Government to review it’s policy on Gender and Social Inclusion to enable more women contribute to economic and political advancement of the state.

She made the call at a capacity training for Media Executives in Kaduna.

Professor Akpa who explained that though the present administration in the state gives recognition to women and gender mainstreaming more than any other state in the northwest zone, stressed that the policy does not help women ocupy elective political positions.

She emphasized that giving more economic and political opportunities to Women would help build a stronger, better society and also reduce a lot of stressed experience within the family.

Earlier, in separate presentations Mr. Ali Isa and Timothy Elisha appealed to government at all levels to domesticate all International laws for equal opportunities regardless of gender, vulnerabilities and disabilities.
