Northwest Progressive Movement has commended Jigawa state Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar for promoting youth participation in politics and government, describing the efforts as building for a strong future of the nation.

The commendation was made during an award presentation and dinner organised by the group in collaboration with Coalition of Badaru Disciples group at Royal Golf Course in Dutse.

In her speech, the National Coordinator, Northwest Progressive Movement Barrister Sa”adatu Yunusa Sokoto said, the youth group, deemed it fits to present the award of honour to the Governor for encouraging youth participation in nation-building.

“It is on record that, the number of youth appointed Into Governor Badaru government, elected local government chairmen and party executives in the state are above average”

Barrister Sa” adatu, therefore said the way governor Badaru encouraging youth inclusiveness in politics and government was a clear testimony of his passion for laying the foundation for a prosperous and strong future of Nigeria.

Also speaking, the chairman, Coalition of Badaru Disciples Hon Sadiq Jallo testified that since assuming office Badaru had been grooming youth to be the good leaders of tomorrow.

” Governor. Badaru brought many of us close to him and taught us discipline, honesty, integrity, patriotism, transparency and selfless service to humanity for .predating us to be a good leader of tomorrow “

Today we are confidently proud to tell the world that, we are disciples of governor Badaru School of Thought and we have all the virtues and qualities to participate in a national building in all ramifications” Sadiq Jallo declared.

In a remark, Governor Badaru expressed delights for the award of honour given to him and charged the youth to keep adhering to the virtues of Unity, Integrity, transparency and selfless service for sustainable democracy, peace and development of Nigeria.
