Niger State Government has reassured families of security personnel that paid the supreme price in the fight against banditry and other criminalities in some troubled areas of adequate support.
Commissioner for Local Government Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Emmanuel Umar gave the assurance when he visited Erena community in Shiroro local government council of Niger state.
Mr Emmanuel Umar also assured of Niger state government continued support to the security personnel in the areas of welfare and logistics to enhance their performance.
According to him, the visit was to boost the morale of security personnel in Munya and Shiroro local government councils and charged them to be wary of informants.
In his remarks, Divisional Police Officer of Erena Police Command, Sani Garba gave an assurance that the combined security forces would not relent in their efforts to restore peace in the area and Niger state in general.
He appealed to public to assist them with useful intelligence to ease their work.
