Fédération Internationale de Football Association FIFA have readmitted Chad to international football after it ended a suspension, earlier handed out for governmental interference in football, that had lasted six months.

The bann camer after the country’s minister of youth and sports dissolved the FA (FTFA) in March.

According to FIFA, some major reason for the lifting of the suspension include Chadian government authorities reinstating the powers delegated to the FTFA, repealing of the decision to establish a national committee for the temporary management of football and restoring the control of FTFA premises to President Moctar Mahamoud .

“Following the lifting of the suspension, a joint Fifa-Caf mission will be deployed to N’Djamena without delay to follow up on discussions with the FTFA and the Chadian government,” Fifa added.

After the government dissolved the FTFA, the country was disqualified from the final two rounds of qualifying for January’s Africa Cup of Nations by CAF.
