President of the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association-NAOWA, Mrs Salamatu Yahaya, has reiterated the association’s commitment towards supporting wounded soldiers.

She made the pledge when she led other members of the association on a maiden visit to the 44 Nigerian Army reference hospital Kaduna.

Mrs Salamatu Yahaya explained that being a humanitarian association, NAOWA deemed it necessary to visit the wounded soldiers and officers to sympathize with them, so as to boost their morale.

She pointed out that the outreach was also aimed at providing succor to the less privileged in barracks and communities around them.

Mrs Salamatu Yahaya commended the soldiers for their enormous contributions towards ensuring peace in Nigeria, stressing that their efforts would never be in vain.

In a remark, Acting Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Colonel Ndidi Stephen Onuchukwu commended members of NAOWA for the kind gesture.
