NBTE Launch Resource Persons Application Portal

National Board for Technical Education NBTE has launched Resource Persons Application Portal where Resource Persons seeking for Institution accreditation visitations and other visitations related to quality assurance will be source online.

The Excutive Secretary of the Board, Professor Idris Bugaje made this known while briefing newsmen at the Portal launch in Kaduna.

Professor Bugaje explained that, the step taken by the Board would bring an end to names that always seen being circulated as Resource persons, saying that, it will also help them to get the best of Resource Persons to join the important National assignment.

“The purpose of today’s briefing was to inform the World perticulerly Nigerians that National Board for Technical Education has taken one major step towards the digitisation of it’s activities”

“It will also bring an end to Minor accusations of nepotism, I bring my friends around always to participate in the visitations.

According to him the step would enable NBTE to get the best hands around within the Nigerian polytechnic Sector and even other educational sectors

Professor Idris Bugaje encouraged Captain of Industry to access the website and to fill the necessary forms inorder to get the best of Resource Persons to participate in the Board accreditation visitations, stressing that, they are looking forward to more of this

The Excutive Secretary pointed out that, in the next coming two to three years, the NBTE Intention was to digitalize its entire activities with a view to have paperless administration whereby all it activities would go online while only inspections will be done physically.

He however thanked the relevant Departments that participated in the project.

Professor Idris Bugaje called on stakeholders from the polytechnic Sector to key into it, saying that, visitations to Institutions should be led by Resource Persons from polytechnic Sector while the board next choice should be people who have industrial experience.

“The last of our choice will be the Universities, because the Technical Vocational Education and Training TVET Sector is parallel to the University, we can work together with the Universities ” but we don’t want university academicians to take over our visitations and for that reason we are now launching this website so that all potential Resource Persons can supply the information, upload their CV and then we can now use very transparent method inorder to have the best”

He gave an assurance that the Board accreditation visitations would be greatly enhanced.
