Kaduna State University has awarded a Doctor of Public Sector Governance to the Group Managing Director of Nigeria National Petroleum Company GMD NNPC Malam Mele Kolo Kyari.
The award given to him along side four others during the fourth Convocation Ceremony of the institution in Kaduna was received by the Group General Manager, special duties, GMD’s office, Abubaka Nuhu Muhammed,
Chancellor of the University Muhammadu Sanusi II, who presented the awards to the awardees for contributions to humanity, said their selfless services would be remembered.
In her vote of thanks on behalf of the awardees, the Minister of Finance Hajiya Zainab Ahmed who got an award of Doctor of Management said the awards would bring recognition to them, hence the need to be good representatives of the Alma Mater.
She recognized the contribution of the Kaduna State University in training younger generation with requisite skills and knowledge for the development of the country.
The Finance Minister called on the graduates at the convocation to ensure they realize their full potentials for the benefit of humanity bearing in mind the continued advancement in technology that requires commensurable inputs.
Talking on the economy of the country, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed explained that the present administration was working tirelessly with different stimulus packages to revamp the economy.
