The National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners (NAGGMDP) in Kwara state says it has extended the ultimatum given to the state government state over poor welfare package.

Speaking with journalists in Ilorin,the leader of the Medical officers Dr. Saka Agboola, said that the Congress has extended the ultimatum till November 1, 2021.

According to him the decision to extend the ultimatum by eight weeks is borne out of empathy for the general public.

He said government has shown commitment and serious concern to some of the medical officers demands.

Dr Agboola explained that the state government has also invested so much on health in terms of renovation of dilapidated infrastructure, building of new ones as well as the supply of modern equipment.

He maitained that medical officers should be well remunerated and motivated to prevent them from migrating to other states.
