The Death toll from cholera outbreak in the Federal Capital Territory Administration is over 60 as the administration says efforts are ongoing to intensify community sensitization on cholera and other severe acute diarrhea diseases outbreaks.

FCT Minister of State, Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, gave the assurance at the continuation of community sensitization on cholera in Pyakasa and Gwagwa, Abuja.

 Dr. Ramatu Aliyu revealed that suspected cases have risen from 604 to 698 within 72 hours.

She, however, assured that the administration would do everything within its power to prevent residents from dying helplessly over cholera.

In his remarks, the chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, Abdullahi Adamu Candido, pledged the commitment of his council to embarked on sensitization tour to all the four chiefdoms in AMAC towards enlightening the traditional rulers on preventive measures of cholera.
