Kano State House of Assembly has called on the executive arm of Government to take urgent measures in curtailing the spread of Cholera outbreak in some of parts of the State.

The House made the call shortly after deliberating on a Motion filed by member representing Bagwai/Shanono, Alhaji Ibrahim Isah on the floor during plenary held in Kano.

While presenting the motion, Alhaji Ibrahim Ali Isah Shanono pleaded with his colleagues to support his move in calling the attention of the executive arm of government to expedite action in curtailing the spread of the deadly disease.

The urgent motion of public importance was seconded by members representing Warawa,Takai and Karaye local government areas.

The House presided over by the Deputy speaker, Alhaji Hamza Zubairu Massu resumed sitting after embarking on an indefinite industrial action during the first quarter of the year by the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria.

During the plenary, the Deputy Speaker presented six bills submitted by the state government for deliberations and passage into law.

While presenting the bills, the Deputy Speaker said the six bills include, bill for the establishment of Kano Metropolitan Area Transport Authority 2021, Kano Public Debt Management office bill 2021, and Kano State Audit (Amendment) bill 2021.

Others include Kano Local Government Revenue Administration bill 2021, Kano State Environmental Pollution Control bill 2021 and Kano State Permissible Weights and Weigh Bridges Law 2021.
