Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has donated relief materials for victims of flood and other Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Kwara state.

Presenting the items at the Governors Office in Ilorin, the Director-General of NIMASA, Dr Bashir Jamoh, said the donation was part of the agency’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to amielorate the plight of those affected by banditry and others forms of insecurity.

Represented by the Coordinator, Abuja Zonal Office, Hajia Moji Jimoh, the DG said the gesture would go a long way to make life easier for the beneficiaries .

He said the items were in two categorises for the displaced persons and empowerment to boost the SMEs sector.

In a remark, the Secretary to the Kwara State Government (SSG), Professor Manman Jibril ,said the effort of NIMASA would complement what the state government has been doing.

He assured the team that the items would not be diverted, adding that it would be given to those that are really in need .
