Kano State Police Command has arrested Forty Two (42) notorious thugs (‘Yan Daba) and twenty one (21) Drug Dealers in two months at different locations within the metropolitan local Government Areas of the state.

Public Relations Officer of the command DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa made this known while briefing newsmen on the recent happening in the command in Kano.

He said Large quantity of assorted weapons and Illicit drugs recovered, includes; Tramadol Tablets worth Twenty Nine Million, Nine Hundred and Forty Thousand Naira (N29,940,000.00) and Exol Tablets valued Three Million Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N3,250,000.00).

DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa said with the directives of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman, on community based policing, the Command Conducted a Clearance Operations led by the Commissioner of Police,CP Sama’ila Shua’ibu Dikko.

Cp Sama’ila Shuaibu Dikko appreciates the good people of the State, other security agencies, The Media, special Constabularies, Vigilante Groups and Community policing Stakeholders for their prayers, Support, encouragement and Cooperation.

He Added that the state was Currently, witnessing very low crime rate, serene and peaceful atmosphere, noting that the Command would continue to remain steadfast and resolute in safe guarding lives and property.
