The Federation of Muslim Women Association in Nigeria Kaduna state chapter FOMWAN has called for attitudinal change amongst Nigerian by stopping the act of open Defecation as such act is detrimental to the health of the citizens.

The call was made in a press statement issued and jointly signed by the Amira of the Association, Amira Aisha Isiyaku Tukur and the Secretary respectively and made available to newsmen.

According to the statement, Nigeria is rated globally as one of the leading countries in open Defecation.

Amira Aisha Isiyaku Tukur believed that in as much as religiously we are admonished to seclude and ease ourselves, we all have a role to play in maintaining a healthy society.

According to the statement, It becomes important on all of us to come together and turn the tide against the menace.

FOMWAN urge all States in the Federation to sustain the tempo and even do more so as to enhance the health and well-being of Nigerians with sincere commitment and dedication by all.

The statement says FOMWAN believes that an open Defecation free Nigeria is possible.
