The Executive chairman, Jema’a Local Government area in Kaduna state Mr. Peter Danjuma Averik has condemned the unfortunate incident of insurgent attack in Goska community which resulted to the death of 5 innocent people.

In a statement by the information officer of the local government Mr. Simeon Sunday Dauda in Kafanchan.

The statement describes the act which happened on Monday as heinous, barbaric, callous and needless.

It explains that the attack on Goska and other innocent communities across the local government is a deliberate attempt by some lawless elements to disrupt the existing admosphere of peace and inter-communal harmony enjoyed in the area

It urges Goska community and the people of Jema’a Local Government to remain calm and peaceful and not to yield to the temptation of reprisal as that is the toxic desire of the attackers.

The statement appealed to the police and other sister security agencies to intensify surveillance and patrol towards ensuring the perpetrators are arrested and dealt with as prescribed by the law.

It also sympathised with the immediate families of the innocent victims and the entire Goska community, and prayed for a quick recovery of the injured and a happy repose of the souls of those who lost their lives during the incident.

The statement notes that a delegation from the council, led by the Council’s Secretary Mr. Amos Samaila and the wife of the Council’s chairman, Mrs. Salamatu Peter Averik has visited the hospital where the injured are admitted to empathize with them.
