Emir of Kaura Namoda in Zamfara State, Alhaji Sanusi Muhammad Ahmad Asha has urged children to pursue education and be of good behavior.

The Emir who made the plea during an interview with Radio Nigeria in his Palace, said, children need to be properly guided for them to acquire knowledge and skill in their early age to become pride of their various community.

Emir Sanusi Asha called on parents and guidance to support their children to ensure they excel in schools and train them to be of good moral for a better Society.

On his part, Executive Director, Voluntary Aid Initiative, VAI, Musa Umar Aboki said the annual children’s Day Programme was to ensure children celebrate their Day through advocacy campaign and sporting activities to make the event colourful.

Musa explained that, the VAI organized the activities in collaboration with Save the Children International and Funded by Global Affairs Canada, GAG, with a view to promoting the children education and social activities.

He noted that, this year’s event took place Kaura Namoda local government area, where they held meetings various Community stakeholders and talk to them on children survival, they also organized sports activities, quiz competition for adolescent groups and community walk on child survival to mark this year’s children’s Day celebration.

Over 1000 children participated in the programs and happily active for the celebration.
