The ongoing demolision exercise of markets in Kaduna metropolis by the state government aim at remodelling to enhance revenue derivation and development has reached Unguwan Shanu Market.

Radio Nigeria Kaduna had on Wednesday, visited the scene of the demolition by shop owners themselves before deadline given by the Kaduna State Urban Planning Development Agency (KASUPDA).

In an interview with one of the Market official Malam Aliyu popularly known as Ali Mai Keji appealed to government to promptly start the process of compensating them as promised to ameliorate hardship that would set in after losing their shops.

Similarly, Malam Ibrahim and Abubakar Saleh also lamented losing their shops and appealed to governor Malam Nasir Elrufa’i to be fair and just while compensating to enable them continue with their business activities somewhere.
