The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Saad Abubakar has called on Muslims in the country to start looking for the new Moon of Shawwal tomorrow, Tuesday eleventh of May equivalent to twenty ninth of Ramadan 1442, after hijira.
This is in a statement signed by the chairman advisory committee on religious affairs Sultanate Council, Professor Sambo Wali Junaidu, Waziri Sokoto.
The statement says if the moon is sighted, it should be report to the nearest district or village head for onward communication to his eminence, Muhammad Saad Abubakar the Sultan of sokoto.
