Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq says no fewer than 6,000 farmers will benefit from the state agricultural inputs subsidy scheme in 2021 planting season.

Alhaji AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq made the disclosure during the flagged off of the exercise in Ilorin.

He urged the farmers to make use of the opportunity to have a more rewarding farming experience this year.

AbdulRazq said the timely provision of inputs to farmers will enhance their productivity, improve agricultural practices and fast tract security and sustainable development in the state.

The Governor noted that the initiative is part of the administration’s sustained effort to use agriculture to drive growth and food security in the post COVID-19 pandemic era.
