Government at all levels have been urged to improve on the security infrastructures around female schools to save them from the incessant security breaches.

Professor Nimah Abdulraheem made the call while delivering the 197th Inaugural lecture with the theme”Genderising the Rights for Partnership Not Rivalry, Friendship Not Foe, Complementary Not Confrontation” at the University of Ilorin.

According to her, authorities of schools should increase attention on the safety of female gender and raise their consciousness about safety through security education.

Professor Abdulraheem also advised parents to desist from showing preference for a particular gender.

She urged women to be creative in attending to their household responsibilities in order not to slow down their progress at work.

Professor Abdulraheem condemned the practice in which female gender is politically stereotype as incapable of holding state or national chief executive position.

She however called for equal treatment of female gender alongside their male counterparts.
