Jigawa State Government has urged Christians to imbibe the spirit of peaceful tolerance, coexistence and sacrifice as they celebrate Easter.

Governor Badaru Abubakar made the appeal in a statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant, Alhaji Auwalu Sankara and made available to Radio Nigeria in Dutse in Dutse.

It says the season calls for sober reflection and soul searching, while advising chiristain faithfuls to use the easter period to pray towards promoting and sustaining love, peace and harmony.

The Statement tressed the need for the faithful in the state to emulate the virtues and life style of Jesus Christ in their day to day activities.
