Police in Nasarawa State have confirmed the killing of the state Chairman Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, Alhaji Muhammad Husseini.

State spokesperson, ASP Ramhan Nansel in a telephone interview with Radio Nigeria in Lafia, said Alhaji Muhammad was shot dead at Gudi Market in Kokona Local Government Area of the state.

He explained that two gunmen arrived at the market square around 7PM on Friday, also killed Toto Local Government Chairman of MACBAN Alhaji Muhammad Umar.

A manhunt of the assailants has been launched, ASP Nansel added.
