Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR has sealed 2 filling Stations in Gusau, for irregularities.
The Operations Controller of the DPR Gusau Office, Engineer Yusuf Shehu Gusau who led the operation said, they sealed A.A Rano Filling Station, Tudun Wada round about and Dan Hasiya Filling station along Lalan Gusau.
According to him, A.A Rano was sealed for selling petrol in Jerrican and using expired fire extinguishers while Dan Hasiya Filling station was sealed for selling the product above official price.
Engineer Yusuf explained that, DPR as regulatory body of petrol were out to ensure compliance of price, safety and quality of the product as a reaction to speculation of the price increase, saying DPR will be going out to ensure availability of the product and warned Petroleum dealers to avoid haording or adulterating the product and sell it at government approved price.
He noted that, anyone found wanting will be punished accordingly.
Adding that most of the Filling station in Gusau were selling the petrol at the approved price and have the required safety equipments.
The Controller who was accompanied by top officials of the DPR Gusau Office, said the operation will continue to ensure total compliance.
