Ugandan opposition leader Bobi Wine says he is withdrawing his court case challenging the results of last month’s presidential election.

Bobi Wine who had asked the court to overturn the results on multiple grounds, including fraud and the widespread use of violence, alleges that the judges at the Supreme Court are biased.

The musician turned politician whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi says that he will now take the matter to the court of public opinion, using non-violent means.

More than fifty people were killed in violence ahead of the election with incumbent President, Mr Yoweri Museveni winning a sixth term in office at the poll with fifty nine percent of the vote.
