Kaduna State Primary Health Development Board plans to immunize over four hundred women during the maternal neonatal elimination exercise in three local government areas of the state.

Director, Disease and Epidemic Control, Hamza Ibrahim Ikara disclosed this while speaking to Radio Nigeria in Kaduna.

The Director confirmed that the board had concluded arrangements for the exercise in the three selected local government areas.

Hamza Ibrahim Ikara who said the immunization exercise would hold in Jama”a, kachia and Kaura local government areas, noted that the campaign was targeted at women of child bearing age.

He assured that staff members who were expected to carry out the immunization exercise have been adequately trained on how to go about the task.

The Director further urged parents and stakeholders to ensure that women were carried along, stressing that preventive protocols of covid 19 would be observed during the exercise.

Meanwhile the exercise which was scheduled to hold much more earlier was rescheduled due to the outbreak of Covid19.

Accordingly, the immunization exercise would now hold on the 15th to 20th February of this year.
