Governor Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has ordered the immediate distribution of the remaining last year’s relief materials to farmers who lost their farm lands in 2020 flood disaster in the state.

The Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency, Alhaji Yusuf Sani Babura made this known to newsmen in Dutse,the state capital.

According to him, the remaining relief materials were stored at various agency’s stores across the 27 local government areas of the state.

Sani Babura said already the agency had launched the distribution in Mallam Madori local government area.

He said the remaining relief materials to be distributed include improved rice, grain, pepper and sweet pepper seeds as well as agro allied.

The Executive Secretary said the items would be distributed in 20 local government areas and had been transported to the affected local government areas.

He said all the flood victims stationed in various camps have been evacuated to their homes.
