Kwara state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested ten suspects over an alleged vandalisation of transformer,armed robbery and being in possession of hard drugs.
Parading the suspects at the NSCDC Command Headquarters in Ilorin, the Commandant, Mr Makinde Ayinla Iskil said the suspects were arrested at various locations in the state.
According to him, the command kept vigil during the holiday and the operations yielded positive results.
Mr Ayinla- Iskil said some of the suspect were arrested at Tanke in Ilorin while vandalising transformer.
He explained that another group was arrested during a robbery at a hotel, while others are at large.
Mr Ayinla- Iskil noted that the third group are those caught with hard drugs in their possession.
The NSCDC Commandant said all those arrested will be handed over to the appropriate quarters as soon as investigations are completed.
He urged all criminal elements in the state to turn new leaf and remain law abiding.
Mr Ayinla-Iskil said the command will collaborate with other security agencies to ensure adequate security of lives and properties in the state.
