Jigawa State government says it has recorded another death of an aged woman who died in the Dutse, state capital as a result of Covid 19.

Governor Badaru Abubakar disclosed this while briefing newsmen at government House Dutse,the state capital.

He explained that, an elderly woman living in Dutse who has for some time been suffering from some ailments was taken to the hospital only to be confirmed to have contracted the virus.

Governor Badaru pointed out that, the covid-19 cases in the state have risen to 47 people whom tested positive including the members of National Youth service Corps NYSC, while the number of death in the state stands at 12.

He said, as part of measures to reduce the spread of the virus, the state government ordered all civil servants from level 12 downward to work from home.

Other measures including compulsory use of face mask, observing social distancing, regular wash of hand and restrictions of any activities of more than fifty people in the state.

Badaru therefore, seek the support and cooperation from the people in the state for the successful fight against the spread of the virus.
