Nigerian Army says it has placed high premium on improving the welfare and working condition of soldiers and officers for effective service delivery.

Acting Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sagir Musa stated this shortly after the Chief of Army Staff commissioned the headquarters of Army School of Artillery as well as unveiling of vehicle ultra-light carriage for artillery and self propelled light gun series, in Kachia.

Brigadier General Sagir Musa explained that the commissioning of the headquarters is in line with the Army Chief’s vision of providing a conducive working environment for personnel for optimal service delivery.

He pointed out that the vehicle ultra-light carriage and self propelled light gun will be deployed to boost the fight against insurgency in the North East region.

Radio Nigeria reports that Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai also inspected on-going Chief of Army Staff direct intervention projects, within the artillery barrack.
