Fulani community in Kwara state have been urged to be vigilant and ensure cattle breeders from neighbouring states are not allowed to invade their areas and foment trouble.

The Sarkin Fulani of Kwara state ,Alhaji Usman Adamu made the call while speaking at a sensitisation meeting between Fulani, in conjunction with Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Police, and DSS, in Ilorin.

According to him, Fulani and other residents of the state should be vigilant and ensure bandits and other criminal elements did not use the state as hide out.

Alhaji Usman said all those chased away from neighbouring states should not be accommodated in the state , adding that no one knows what led to their leaving the former states.

He also urged parents to warn their children against allowing cattles to graze freely on farmers farm produce.
