Kano State Police command has arrested over two hundred suspects in the last two months for committing various crimes

Public Relations officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna KIYAWA stated this while parading the suspects to newsmen at Bompai ,the headquarters of the command in the state.

He said the Command through its intelligence led operations succeeded in bursting the criminal syndicates.

DSP Abdullahi Haruna KIYAWA maintained that Twenty four suspects were arrested for armed Robbery,17 for kidnapping,eight for vehicles theft, while ten for tricyle theft.

He explained that seventeen suspects were arrested for motor cycle theft,five suspects for rape,and six drug dealers were apprehended.

The police spokesperson noted that sixteen suspected fraudsters were also arrested with sixty seven suspects specialized in Mobile Handset Robbery ,snatching and stealing.

DSP Abdullahi Haruna KIYAWA explained that Rifles, Guns, Bags of dried leaves suspected to be Indian Hemp valued over two million Naira among other things were recovered

The public relations officer warned the general populace to desist from giving motorcycles for hire,saying investigation revealed that the hired motorcycles were used to commit various types of crimes .

He urged them to assist in providing security agencies with credible informations that would lead to arrest of criminals.
