National Population Commission NPC

National Population Commission NPC says plans have been concluded to ensure the ongoing Enumeration Area Demarcation Exercise is being carried out professionally.

The federal commissioner in charge of sokoto, kebbi and zamfara states, Dr. Haliru Bala Jikan Daudu, who stated this at the federal University Birnin kebbi FUBK in continuation of the exercise in Kalgo local government area said information collated would be valuable for security surveillance and crime prevention and protection.

While commending the Vice Chancellor of the University for giving admissions to deserving youths in the state, Dr. Haliru Bala Jikan Daudu urged other heads of tertiary institutions to emulate FUBK in human and capital oriented projects as well as tree planting towards beautify the environment.

In a remark, Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Bello Bala Shehu assured the commissioner of the institution’s comittment at ensuring the exercise was a success.

The Enumeration Area Demarcation Exercise is a pre-census activity that was conducted in Birnin kebbi, Gwandu, Jega and Koko Besse local governments and currently ongoing in Kalgo and Maiyama local government areas.
