Nigerian Labour Congress NLC

Meeting between the Federal Government and leadership of the organised labour summoned to avert the proposed protest and strike over hike in pump price of petrol and electricity tariff has been adjourned to next week Monday.

The NLC and TUC had threatened to embark on the planned strike to press for reversal of the hike in electricity tariff and petrol pump price.

But Justice Galadima ordered the labour unions and affiliate groups to halt the plan to embark on the strike pending hearing and determination of the motion on notice filed by the applicant.
