Elections: President Buhari Cast His Vote

President Muhammadu Buhari has cast his vote at Sarkin Yara ‘A’ polling unit in Daura metropolis.

He was accompanied to the polling unit by the Presidential Media Adviser, Malam Garba Shehu and some of the his aides.

Shortly after casting his vote, the president said he was confident that his party will emerge victorious in the elections

He noted that his administration had taken measures to curtail vote-buying which had been a bottle neck to free and fair elections in the past.

The President advised Nigerians to reject food and cash inducements by politicians, he sad even if they collect such gifts, they should still vote the candidates of their choice

The President noted the significant improvement in the gubernatorial and state assembly elections compared with the previous election, and commended INEC for the improvements.

He also called on prospective voters across the country to vote for credible persons in the governorship and state assembly elections

Our correspondent reports the presence of security agencies in Sarkin Yara ‘A’ and other polling units in Daura metropolis.
