The Nigeria security and civil defence Corps, Kano state Command, has decorated the newly promoted officers who passed 2020 promotion examination.
This was contained in a media statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Command DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, in Kano.
The statement explained that 159 officers from Kano Command of the NSCDC got the promotion with the break down as follows:
7 officers from the rank of Assistant Commandant of Corps to Deputy Commandant of Corps, 22 from the rank of chief superintendent of Corp to assistant Commandant of Corps, 3 from superintendent of Corp to Chief superintendent of Corp,10 from Deputy superintendent of Corp to superintendent of Corp, 50 from Assistant superintendent of Corp 1 to Deputy superintendent of Corp,21 from Assistant superintendent of Corp 11 to Assistant superintendent of Corp 1 and lastly 46 from Inspector of Corp 2 to Inspector of Corp 1.
Delivering a speech shortly after the decoration, Commandant Abu Abdu Tambuwal congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to rededicate themselves for efficient and better service delivery.
” You should all see this promotion as call for service. Infact, with the coming of the new leadership, we’ve seen the commitment and seriousness of the Commandant General Dr Ahmed Audi mni in terms of staff welfare, you should reciprocate the gesture by working hard. We pray may the CG take the Corps to greater heights”.
Commandant Tambuwal also tasked the Promoted officers and generally the NSCDC personnel at the command to be determined, ready and belt up to serve the general public.
The State Commandant was assisted in the decorations by Command’s 2ic DC Idris Jibril, Head of operation DC Umar Ibrahim, HOD CNAI DC Muhammad Alada as well as the Head of Anti Vandalism DC Joachim Okafor.
Among the promoted senior officers includes Head of Admin ACC Abdulhamid Kabara (now DCC), 3 Area Commander’s from the rank of Assistant Commandants to Deputy Commandants including the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi from the rank of Assistant superintendent to Deputy superintendent of Corp (DSC).
