Senator representing Jigawa North-West Federal Constituency, Dr. Abdullahi Danladi Sankara has donated #36 million naira as Ramadan largesse to individuals and organizations in the 12 local government areas of the zone.
The largesse is coming on the heels of the Ramadan fasting being observed by Muslims as one of the obligatory aspect of Islam.
Senator Danladi Sankara who gave the donation appealed to members of his constituents to use the Ramadan period to pray for the country and the state to prosper in wealth and guard the youths against evil tendencies.
He noted that the gesture was part of the annual support rendered to his supporters and well-wishers to ease hardship during the holy month of Ramadan.
”The N36 milliion Naira is expected to be shared among Babura , Garki, Gagarawa, Gumel, Gwiwa, Kazaure, Maigatari, Ringim, Roni, Sule Tankarkar, Taura and Yankwashi Local Government areas respectively” the senator explained.
Dr. Abdullahi Danladi Sankara said each council area received N3 million Naira of which the executives will share N1.5 million amongst themselves while other members to share the remaining balance of N1.5 million.
Some of the beneficiaries prayed Allah to continue to give him strength and the will towards supporting people especially during Ramadan.
